Our very own Apprentice Dale McCarthy has won the regional winner award at the CPA’s star of the future young apprentice awards at Plantworx.Dale McCarthy Regional Award Winner

MHM was not only proud to be exhibiting at the first  Plantworx  show – but equally proud that our very own apprentice Dale, who studies in Bridgend college, was in the running for these awards, held at the Show.

On the 14th May at 11am at Plantworx, the CPA hosted the ‘Stars of the Future’ plant mechanic apprenticeship awards presentation to the young engineers, who took part in the competition from colleges nationwide. Presenting the awards was Richard Noble OBE, a world land speed record holder.

Dale McCarthy Regional Award WinnerThe Stars of the future  competition is an annual award scheme devised by the CPA to recognise talented youngsters on plant mechanic apprentice schemes in 11 colleges across the UK- there were a staggering 489 entries into the completion making judging extremely tough! The regional winners across the country attended a VIP award ceremony, which had over 200 guests including the CEA team.  The winners were presented with a trophy, certificate and a £500.00 tool voucher for a mechanics toolkit.

We were very proud of Dale winning his award on the day and have high hopes for Dale with in our business. Congratulations Dale!
